India’s Akasa Air goes international
India’s newest mainline airline Akasa Air has notched an important milestone.
It completed its first international flight when touching down at Hamad International Airport in Qatar.
The airline’s inaugural Doha flight from Mumbai, ushers in a new era as an international carrier.
Akasa Air is operating four Doha flights per week on Boeing 737 Max aircraft.
The inaugural flight was operated by an all-female crew of two pilots and five cabin crew.
“Doha marks a milestone moment in Akasa’s journey as we enter a phase of rapid global expansion,” said Neelu Khatri, International SVP at Akasa Air.
Akasa Air becomes the 47th foreign airline to serve Doha.
