1.      When did you get started in the Travel industry? 1985

2.      What was your first job? Travel Consultant in Coffs Harbour

3.      First freebie famil? With Contiki to New Zealand – this was to be the start of a great relationship between me and The Travel Corporation!

4.      Favourite holiday destination? Anywhere in Europe – my two favourite cities are Florence and Vienna (both for very different reasons) but I also love countries that are not as well developed such as Russia and the former Eastern Block countries (Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary etc)

5.      What would you be doing do if you hadn’t got started in travel?

I really have no idea because from the age of 12 I always wanted to be a travel consultant and in the industry so that is what I worked towards. We often have this conversation though at work and I have become a stationery fiend so perhaps I would be working in Officeworks! Who knows!

1.      Favourite music? Anything that doesn’t make my ears bleed from the singer yelling. I am not good with hard core rock but like just about every other style.

2.      What book did you last read? The Da Vinci Code

3.      Aisle or window seat? Aisle – I am short so I can’t climb over people if I need to get out so I definitely need the aisle.

4.      Favourite pastime outside of work? Anything that is outside – I love the fresh air! I am also a frustrated chef so I can also be found in the kitchen creating new delights.

5.      First website you log onto each day? Trafalgar! www.trafalgar.com

I ike to be ready in case I need to use it throughout the day.

6.      Best moment of your career to date? Driving back into London after successfully completing a seven week training trip to become a European Contiki tour manager. It was both the hardest and most fulfilling seven weeks of my life and a great entrée to where I am today.

1.      Biggest problem facing the industry? The Australian media. Many worldwide issues are over sensationalised which really does not help our industry.
