Insurance firm to launch travel agency
Over 50s insurance specialist Staysure is launching a full-service travel agency, Staysure Holidays, later this summer.
The company is looking to initially recruit around 50 employees but said headcount will increase as the business grows.
The positions are in travel sales, customer service, marketing, finance, IT and HR.
On the insurance side, Staysure is recruiting a further 30 sales agents, all based in new offices in Coventry.
Staysure Holidays will be a fully bonded travel agency, a member of ABTA and ATOL, and part of Advantage Travel.
It will sell holidays from the major tour operators, airlines, hotels and cruise operators, along with insurance and foreign currency.
It is currently negotiating preferred commercial terms with travel brands.
Staysure CEO said Ryan Howsam said: “The company has experienced phenomenal growth over the past 10 years, and the new travel venture is the next logical step in our business development, following extensive research and customer feedback.
“There are plans to grow the business and expected growth in year 2 is 25% and a further 50% in year 3 year on year. Recruitment will then fall in line with these figures to ensure we’re fully staffed to take on the growth in business.”
HR manager Sarah Charman added: “We are looking for self-starters and team players with a great work ethic and strong communication skills. All successful candidates will follow ongoing training programmes and follow tailored development plans to encourage employees to progress within the company.”
