ITC prepares for further growth by rolling out Dolphin technology platform
Leading luxury tour operator ITC Luxury Travel has revealed plans to overhaul its technology platform having reached an agreement to roll out a new reservation system provided by Dolphin Dynamics.
The decision to deploy Dolphin comes after a recent MBO at the company, following which CEO Jennifer Atkinson announced plans to invest in people and systems to create organic growth together with the targeted acquisition of travel businesses within the luxury and other specialist sectors.
The Dolphin technology replaces ITC’s existing reservation system and will be rolled out initially to almost 100 staff within its UK headquarters and Harrogate office and in subsequent phases across other ITC brands.
The end-to-end Dolphin solution includes a powerful selling and administration tool to support fulfilment, reporting and travel accounting automation, along with a contract management module to enable ITC to maintain directly contracted products and allocations. Dolphin will also be deployed to power an online trade booking portal enabling agency partners to search and book the full range of ITC products.
The roll out of the Dolphin platform will commence in November and will include a small number of bespoke developments to tailor the system to ITC’s specific requirements.
Commenting on ITC’s decision to deploy Dolphin, Karl Lloyd, Finance Director at ITC said, "Investment in the right travel technology is a key part of our plans to grow the business whilst continuing to offer the highest levels of service to the trade. We selected Dolphin because we believe it will provide us with a solid platform and enable us to promote and sell a wider range of travel products to our customers than ever before while delivering productivity and efficiency gains right across the business."
Andy Mills, Head of Sales & Marketing at Dolphin Dynamics added, "We are delighted ITC has selected Dolphin Dynamics as its strategic technology partner at this exciting stage of its development and we are looking forward to working with ITC in the months to come. With a fast-growing customer base in the luxury travel sector Dolphin is proving a compelling proposition due to the ongoing investment we make in the technology with an emphasis on enabling our customers to both operate more efficiently and increase sales."
