Japan Airlines posts big annual loss
Japan Airlines posted an annual net loss of $2.6 billion, marking its first full-year deficit for nearly a decade.
It opted not to give an outlook for the year ahead due to the continuing uncertainty. "it is difficult to foresee the recovery of demand while the global spread of Covid-19 shows no sign of slowdown," JAL said.
Revenues were down more than 65% on the previous 12 months. It had expected a big year in 2020 with the Tokyo Olympics and record tourism growth at the time.
