JetBlue expands to Long Island

New York’s Hometown Airline is expanding its presence to Long Island for the first time.

It will offer a trio of Florida sunshine flights from Long Island MacArthur Airport.

Tickets are on sale for Orlando flights from Long Island and to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and Palm Beach International Airport

JetBlue’s expansion to Long Island flights offers increased connectivity and choice for New Yorkers.

It will complement existing operations at New York JFK, LaGuardia Airport and Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR).

“Long Island is an integral part of the New York Metro area, and we are excited to bring service to customers in this community,” said Dave Jehn, JetBlue’s VP of network planning and airline partnerships.

JetBlue’s presence at Long Island MacArthur Airport is expected to boost the local economy through job creation and increased tourism.

JetBlue currently employs more than 8,800 crewmembers in the state of New York.

To celebrate the announcement, JetBlue has a limited time special fare of $49 one-way for Long Island flights on the three Florida routes.
