Joyned secures $8 million Series A funding
Travel tech startup Joyned has just completed a $8 million Series A funding round.
The funds will be used to fuel Joyned’s global growth plans.
It was led by Reach Markets, an Australian private equity firm.
Sentor Investments, a private investment firm in Australia, Velocity Ventures, a Singaporean investment fund and Lucerne Investment Partners, also participated.
Joyned enables end-users to discuss and book trips together directly on the website in a collaborative way.
This can be done anonymously, without registration, from a secure, private online space.
The solution provides a cross-website, live experience for customers.
Joyned’s AI-based social revenue platform identifies critical data such as price perception and sentiment analysis.
This gives travel sites access to the customer booking journey, which then allows them to offer personally tailored deals.
Joyned says this method increases the average booking value by 25%, and the conversion rate increases fourfold.
Joyned CEO, Jonathan Abraham, said: “The platform we have developed addresses the travellers’ need to experience the holiday booking process together. We are the first to bridge the gap between users’ desire for shared experiences and the possibility of doing so.”
“We are proud of the support we received from leading funds joining our journey.”
Joyned has inked commercial agreements with dozens of international travel brands, including a strategic commercial agreement with Amadeus.
It has deals with OYO Vacation Homes and UK based TravelUp.
