Karisma Hotels & Resorts, Green Globe certified member since 2011, offers a wide range of unique properties in a variety of world-class destinations; from adults-only and family-friendly to opulent villas and intimate urban retreats.
In our company, we know that high-quality and consistent service for all our guests is only possible through the optimal management of all our resources. By being more efficient all our efforts, tPunta Cana, ime and resources are focused on our guest’s experience, generating a direct return of investment, which is reflected by our guest’s satisfaction.
In this context, sustainability is one of the strategic pillars of our daily operation. As a company, our Passion for Sustainability Program has key goal in mind: To ensure guest satisfaction consistently, making the most efficient operation in each one of the Karisma properties and having a positive impact on the destinations where we live and work.
As a result of this philosophy, we are proud to announce our partnership with Ecoservices Dominicana, who provide high quality environmental solutions for the tourism sector in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
At this time, Karisma’s Sensatori and Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts located at Punta Cana, are operating a waste management program supported by Ecoservices Dominicana. Right now we are recycling an average of 7000 kgs of recyclable material per month, including plastic, aluminium, paper & cardboard, glass and tetrapacks. All these material are recycled by Ecoservices, except for the tetrapacks which go to the Tetrapack Recycling Facilities in the USA.
This partnership is part of our Sustainable Purchasing & Sourcing Program, which is constantly searching for strategic partners, committed to the sustainable development of the destinations where we live and work.
Finding a waste management partner is key to exponentially increasing the positive impact of our Sustainability Program. In this case, by working with Ecoservices Dominicana, Karisma Hotels & Resorts not only handles its waste in a responsible and efficient way, but is also contributing to the Responsible Ecotourism Foundation sponsored by Ecoservices Dominicana, and their social responsibility initiatives in the local communities of Punta Cana.
We are convinced that this is an important moment for the tourism sector; to understand that working together, along with companies that share a vision for sustainability, real sustainable destinations can be achieved with a positive and lasting impact on the communities and the environment that allow us to grow and succeed year after year.
