President, International Council of Tourism Partners and Director of greenearth.travel. He is Visiting Professor, Victoria University, Australia, Hasselt University, Belgium, Oxford Brookes University, UK, Jeju National University, and George Washington University,.

Gopinath Parayil is a world figure in Responsible Tourism, a keen promoter of sustainability and a believer in social entrepreneurship. He transformed The Blue yonder into a travel company that creates a positive impact in both hosts’ and guests’ lives. A pioneer in Responsible Tourism, he identifies projects and destinations to work with and then transforms them into immersive travel experiences. With his untiring efforts he has created such destinations across India, from Kerala to Rajasthan. He is a founding board member of Asian Ecotourism Network and one of the judges for the prestigious National Geographic World Legacy Awards. Gopi co-founded the Responsible Tourism Networking to bring together like-minded people in the travel industry. He also represents The Blue Yonder in its capacity as official Sustainable Tourism partner at ITB Berlin and ITB Asia.

Biologist Albert Salman MSc, has been involved in sustainable tourism since 1989 when he was involved in the establishment of the Coastal & Marine Union After leading the QualityCoast Award programme, he developed the Global Sustainable Tourism Review (GSTR). Albert created Green Destinations, to provide a platform for certified and other sustainable destinations and for capacity building and training activities.

A woman at the heart of Green Tourism since she helped found the Shetland Environment Agency in 1997, Andrea Nicholas is the Managing Director of Green-Tourism.com – the most credible and largest sustainable tourism certification programme of its kind with over 2,000 members in the UK, Ireland, Italy, Canada and Zimbabwe. With an unrivalled experience of sustainable tourism in depth, the organisation is also behind sustainable tourism certification programmes in Sweden and New Zealand.
