Kiwis may not be able to fly, but they’re sure great at cruising! And to tempt cruisers onto the high seas, P&O Cruises if offering savings of up to 30 per cent on winter voyages to the warm South Pacific.

P&O Cruises has just launched a new flyer featuring the maiden New Zealand season of Pacific Star, the cruise line’s newest Australasian ship.

Passengers can pay as little as $168 a night for an eight day cruise including all main meals, accommodation and P&O Cruises’ renowned entertainment options. Extra savings are also available for group bookings.

“Pacific Star is looking great after her multi-million dollar refurbishment and is set to take cruising kiwis to exotic locations in the South Pacific,” says P&O Cruises New Zealand Manager Shannon Currie.

“So to celebrate we’re offering travellers special fares on her cruises from Auckland this winter.”

The 35,000-tonne Pacific Star features four dining venues, two swimming pools, spacious decks and a choice of queen or twin bed configurations in most cabins.

Pacific Star also provides its 1,400 passengers with a huge range of entertainment and on-board facilities including six bars and lounges, a nightclub, open air spas, a jogging track, Lotus Spa, extensive open decks, show-lounge, a casino and kids’ clubs.

All main meals and on-board entertainment are included in the one low fare and once aboard ship you only need to unpack once, leaving you more time for fun and relaxation.

A new flyer is out now featuring a kiwi lazing on a deck chair and detailing Pacific Star’s maiden New Zealand season of nine cruises, which run from May to August 2006.

Destinations include a variety of ports in Tonga, Fiji, Samoa, New Caledonia, Vanuatu and the Loyalty Islands.
