KLM adds flights for ’06
A 10th daily Heathrow-Amsterdam frequency and improved links from Scotland to Holland feature in KLM’s summer 2006 schedule.
The Dutch carrier aims to provide a wider range of frequencies and connecting flights via its Schiphol hub. The aim is to spread the peak load across the day to allow further growth by the Air France-KLM group and SkyTeam partner airlines at the Amsterdam airport.
The changes are designed to improve utilisation of the existing hub capacity, according to KLM.
Next summer’s schedule, which will be loaded into reservations systems by Monday (December 5), includes the additional London flight, plus a fifth daily Glasgow return and a fourth daily Aberdeen frequency.
The majority of KLM’s arrival and departure times will change at the start of next summer. SkyTeam and other partners will also adjust their schedules at Schiphol to allow for the best connections.
