Latest release of Dolphin online booking solution to extend social media and email marketing features

Monday, 16 Dec, 2011 0

London, 16th December 2011 The latest release of Dolphin’s Sitefinity-powered web publishing module provides users with the ability to create, deliver and track email newsletters to prospects and customers. As well as being able to record open rates, unsubscription requests and much more.

This builds on the range of features in its web publishing module which was first launched in November this year.

This integration with the Dolphin system not only makes it easier for travel companies to generate emails to a targeted customer list – it also eliminates the cost of acquiring a separate system to deliver and track the emails.

Other enhancements in its latest release include the ability to apply Facebook ‘like’ and ‘feed’ widgets to both the Dolphin booking engine and general website pages – along with navigation links to online blogs. With all features created and managed using Dolphin web publishing’s user-friendly ‘drag and drop’ widgets.

The web publishing module is an integrated part of the online booking solution provided by Dolphin Dynamics, which provides tour operators and travel agents with access to hundreds of flight, accommodation, car-rental, transfer and other suppliers as well as content hosted in the Dolphin product database. This module enables travel companies to implement uniquely designed bookable websites, accessing an extensive range of added-value content – both custom-built by Dolphin and off-the-shelf widgets available via Sitefinity.

Roberto Da Re, CEO of Dolphin Dynamics commented, “This first upgrade already highlights the benefits of integrating Sitefinity’s leading edge web content management platform, already used by 8,000 companies around the world to promote themselves online. As the Sitefinity platform is enhanced with new Web 2.0 features and social media functionality we are able to deliver all of this as part of our comprehensive booking engine offering at no additional cost to our customers, which is especially important in the current economic climate.

This makes our web publishing module an attractive option for travel companies looking to deploy engaging and creative websites, offering full online booking capability, without the significant financial and operational overheads associated with API-based developments.”
