Latinx Travel Club marks Hispanic Heritage Month with inaugural summit
Latinx Travel Club, a digital media company powered by Ventyour Inc., has been highlighting the diversity of Latinx people through a portfolio of travel, tech, music, and other channels this week.
The inaugural Latinx Travel Summit has been in full swing this week in Miami and wraps up Sunday, October 17 with a farewell day party hosted by Hyatt at The Confidante Miami Beach Hotel.
The Summit evolved from the Latinx Travel Club’s mission to create closer ties between Latinx people and their origins through travel, music, and culture.
"We are cultivating a community that empowers and recognizes Latinx entrepreneurs," says Pablo Segarra, CEO of Latinx Travel Club.
"As a gathering of the youngest, most diverse, and fastest growing populations in the world, we will be celebrating the innovation of Latinx people. Our summit is a platform for connecting businesses, founders, organizations and thought-leaders that focus on Millennial and Generation Z audiences."
"We’re often told we are the minority, when in fact we are the majority of the Western Hemisphere," says Michael Watson, Co-Founder of the Latinx Travel Club.
The summit focuses on entrepreneurs, as Latinx small business owners are the fastest-growing group of entrepreneurs in the US.
Miami was chosen because of its large Latin American and Caribbean population and for the city’s growing reputation as the next tech hub made it the clear winner to host the inaugural Summit.
The event included a reception and full day of panel discussions including travel, tech, media and startup investing.
