MSC sees surge in last-minute summer cruise bookings
The UK’s recent dismal weather has been a boon for MSC Cruises.
The cruise line says it has sparked a 30% surge in bookings for last-minute trips in August and September.
It says Brits are choosing new destinations with reliably warmer and sunnier climes.
The line’s MSC Virtuosa is currently sailing to the Iberian Coast, the Canary Islands and Madeira, as well as the Norwegian Fjords.
The ship’s varied port calls include Casablanca, Gran Canaria and Bruges, depending on the sailing.
The ship also sails a Northern European itinerary.
July and August sailings on board MSC Virtuosa during August and September depart directly from Southampton.
