Mystery odor sends flight attendants to hospital
An Alaska Airlines headed for Seattle was forced to divert after four flight attendants quickly became ill.
Flight 810 had just taken off from Kauai, Hawaii and was forced to divert to Honolulu.
An unknown odor was detected making the crew feel nauseous.
It was serious enough for the flight attendants to be taken to hospital in Honolulu for evaluation.
The source of the suspected odor is still a mystery.
No passengers or the cockpit crew reported feeling ill.
The flight was carrying 119 passengers and six crew members.
Alaska Airlines re-accommodated passengers on other flights to Seattle while the original plane was flown back empty to Seattle so it can be inspected.
