Brexit, the global economy and climate change are on the agenda for The Tourism Society’s Annual Symposium 2019

Being held in Blackpool on September 24, the event will kick off with a keynote speech from the new head of the BBC, Adrian Mills, who will talk about Britain, the North, populism, youth, scepticism and implications for tourism.

This will be followed by three sessions on the themes of disruption and sustainability.

The day before, delegates are invited to join study tours in Blackpool led by local experts and an evening networking reception.

Tours include Blackpool Tower, Blackpool Beach and a behind-the-scenes preview of Blackpool’s new conference centre.

Delegates can also enjoy preferential deals on Virgin Trains and Visit Blackpool’s accommodation.
