The airline will take the RX airline designator code.
Riyadh Air will be helmed by governor of the Public Investment Fund, Yassir Al-Ramayyan as chair, and Tony Douglas as CEO.
Douglas said that the airline won’t announce any new aircraft orders at the Paris Air Show.
It has existing orders for 39 Boeing 787 Dreamliners with options for dozens more.
It recently hinted at a large aircraft order for narrow body jets but is in no rush right now.
The new airline is expected to launch in 2025.
