Package product for Edinburgh’s Summer Festivals available for the very first time, up to a year in advance
The Edinburgh Festivals, which attract audiences of 4 million to Scotland’s capital every year, have launched a brand new, travel-trade exclusive product.
For the first time, the Edinburgh Festivals are offering advance purchase, packageable itineraries via the EDINBURGH FESTIVALS PASSPORT.
The new Passport will let visitors add an Edinburgh Festivals experience to their holiday at the time of booking. Helping visitors make the most of the world’s largest arts festival in a convenient way, this product is ideal as an add-on to an Edinburgh Military Tattoo package or as an inclusion to a city break or wider touring holiday.
Edinburgh is home to seven Festivals in August alone. Through the EDINBURGH FESTIVALS PASSPORT, visitors will be able to enjoy the very best in theatre, dance, music, comedy, literature and major exhibitions during their August holiday, with shows and performances handpicked from the 25,000 shows available by the best in the business. A unique Festival experience of critics’ picks will be created for each visitor.
The Passport launches ahead of the public booking for the Festivals, most of which take place in June. This is the first time that a cross-festival product has been available exclusively to the travel trade.
Susan Russell, Marketing Manager of Festivals Edinburgh, says: “I’m delighted to be able to introduce this exciting new product, and look forward to forging new partnerships with travel trade professionals. Building on the success of the Year of Homecoming, we are pleased to be able to offer trade partners, for the very first time, the ability to simply package a trip to our world-famous cultural extravaganza up to a year in advance. We hope this new product from the world’s Festival capital will be a welcome addition to Scotland packages this Summer and beyond.”
