Following a recent announcement of a long awaited return to the Asia Pacific market, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings has established a new sales and marketing office in Sydney.

Norwegian said it plans to offer cruises from Sydney and Auckland in 2017.

The office will represent the company’s three cruise brands Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises.

"Today marks an exciting day in the history of our company, as we further expand our global team to serve the greater Australasia region," said Steve Odell, who will assume the role of senior vice president and managing director Australia and New Zealand.

"With this new office, we can now better support our travel partners as they serve their guests, offering sales and marketing support and a dedicated Sydney-based call centre for our three brands."

Apart from Odell, the Sydney leadership team consists of Lisa Pile, as vice president of sales for Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises and Nicole Costantin, who is vice president of sales for Norwegian Cruise Line.

Ben Angell joins the company from Virgin Australia, and will be vice president of marketing for the group along with Elizabeth Krstevski who serves as contact centre manager.
