– Latest release of xEvent enables the Dynamic Packaging of events and destination activities

Hollywood, California – 21 November, 2008 – OpenJaw Technologies, a leader in delivering high performance travel distribution solutions to the global travel industry, today announced at the 2008 PhocusWright Conference, a major new product release – xEvent 2.0; a content and inventory management system for events and destination activities.

xEvent’s new advanced features allows airlines, tour operators and online travel agencies to extend their ancillary product mix to include events and destination activities. By targeting customers with precise ancillary offerings that add value to their trip, travel companies can dramatically increase the value of transactions to boost revenues and raise profitability.

The latest version of xEvent enables travel companies to offer the widest choice of inventory for events and destination activities by connecting to multiple suppliers and controlling multiple rates and contracts through a series of business rules. xEvent also enables the dynamic packaging of event and destination activities to include flights, hotels and car rental with a single price thereby facilitating better margin management through dynamic pricing and the bundling of distressed inventory.

Commenting on the announcement, John Lambe, CTO of OpenJaw Technologies said: “We are pleased to announce this major product release – xEvent 2.0, which is already in use by some of our largest clients. xEvent is a key component of our strategy to extend the ancillary selling model through the use of events and destination activities. Many of the world’s leading airlines, tour operators and online travel agencies are now recognising how incremental revenue and increased margins can be achieved by broadening the ancillary mix that they offer to their customers.”

xEvent resides within OpenJaw Technologies solution portfolio and utilises the xDistributor Integration Platform and Business Rules Engine that enables travel supplier integration, distribution channel management and Dynamic Packaging.

• At times of high market demand, use advanced business rules to sell your own allocations last to achieve the highest margin
• Create dynamic packages for event and destination activities consisting of flights, hotels and car rental with a single price; facilitates better margin management through dynamic pricing and the bundling of distressed inventory
