Passenger attacks pilot over long delay
A passenger, irked at an hours-long delay at Delhi Airport, is facing charges after taking his frustration out on an IndiGo pilot.
The passenger slapped pilot Anup Kumar while he was in the cabin announcing a further delay in takeoff due to dense fog.
The passenger was arrested and later bailed.
The fog has led to ‘chaos’ at Delhi Airport.
The IndiGo flight was delayed 13 hours while others were delayed even longer.
Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said unruly behaviour by passengers will not be tolerated and strict penalties must be applied as a deterrent.
