P&O Cruises Australia finds new buyer for Pacific Dawn
P&O Cruises Australia ship Pacific Dawn has found a new home.
The 1,546-guest Pacific Dawn was due to leave the P&O Cruises fleet early in 2021 but its new owner Cruise and Maritime Voyages has since gone into administration due to the Covid-19 crisis.
However Carnival Corp says it now has a new buyer and will leave the fleet in the ‘coming weeks.’
It hasn’t disclosed the buyer.
P&O Cruises Australia President, Sture Myrmell said Pacific Dawn has carried 1.2 million guests on more than 600 voyages from Australia.
"Pacific Dawn has also been much admired and loved by her many guests, especially her loyal following in Queensland, as well as her crew," Myrmell said.
P&O will contact guests impacted by the earlier than expected removal of the ship.
Guests will be offered a full refund or bonus onboard credit for a future cruise.
Pacific Dawn is one of the 18 ships Carnival has announced will be leaving the global fleet.
