Princess Cruises introduces new sales team

Monday, 15 Apr, 2013 0

Princess Cruises’ new dedicated sales team starts work this week.

It is the first time Princess has had its own sales team, separate from its parent company Complete Cruise Solutions and its sister brands, P&O and Cunard.

UK director Paul Ludlow said it had become necessary for the brand to have its own sales force.

"We have introduced a number of policies within the last two years for our agent partners, which differ between Princess Cruises and P&O Cruises/Cunard.

"Having two sales teams will help us explain these differences more clearly to agents and get greater clarity and focus on how best to work with all three brands from an agent perspective."

Two thirds of the new Princess sales team are newly appointed from outside of the business, while the others have joined from within CCS.

The team will be headed by Alex White, head of UK sales.

"The Princess Cruises sales team will work closely with the sales team for P&O Cruises and Cunard to ensure a consistent approach with our travel trade partners going forward, whilst seeking development opportunities that serve the requirements of each brand individually," he said.

The team will be split across office and field, with an internal account management team to manage relationships with key agents.

A new field sales team with five regional sales managers will serve the UK and Northern Ireland, headed by Shane Riley, who was previously regional sales manager for CCS.’¨’¨

In his new role of field sales and training manager, he will report directly into White.

The other regional sales managers are:
South East England Jonny Peat
Wales and South West England Andrea Jones
Central England Sarah-Jane Walker
North of England Rachel Mould
Scotland and Northern Ireland Allison Graham
