Qantas plans airport lounge access pay as you go pricing

Qantas is planning a new revenue stream which will make its airport lounges more inclusive.
The flag carrier plans to roll out a pay as you go subscription model for airport lounge access.
Although Qantas has a yearly fee for Qantas Club membership, it reportedly is looking to offer more flexible pricing to let members ‘pay as they go and cancel at any time.’
The price of a monthly subscription fee has not been disclosed yet or whether it will impose a cap on new subscription member numbers.
The subscription program will allow access to two dozen Qantas Club and Qantas Regional Lounges in Australia.
Also included are Qantas overseas Business Class lounges.
It looks like it won’t include other perks that come with conventional lounge access, such as bringing in a guest, and last minute upgrades.
