Qantas rolls out new SME travel management tool
Flag carrier Qantas has rolled out a new booking tool for small businesses.
The airline conducted a trial of the new system earlier this year and will now be available to Qantas Business Rewards users.
The airline’s SME loyalty program has nearly half a million members.
“One in five Australian small and medium-sized businesses are Qantas Business Rewards members and this new booking experience adds to the benefits they already enjoy,” said CEO of Qantas Loyalty, Olivia Wirth.
The business travel tool features flight bookings, accommodation and car rentals.
Users also get access live data and analytics and corporate travel policy compatibility.
Wirth said the tool is a direct result of business travel customer feedback.
“The investment we’re making in Qantas Business Rewards will provide Australian businesses with a one-stop platform to manage their business travel needs.”
The new business travel booking upgrade is a collaboration with travel tech platform Spotnana.
New updates include easier management of the Qantas Business Rewards account and flexible points payment options.
Spotnana says the average booking time is reduced from over 10 minutes to under two minutes per transaction.
To mark the launch, Qantas has waived the A$89.50 joining fee for the Business Rewards program until 8 December.
