Qatar Airways launches fifth Germany route
Qatar Airways’ first Hamburg flight has landed marking the start of the airline’s fifth Germany route.
Hamburg joins Germany flights to Berlin, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt and Munich. The airline says it saw a 62% increase in outbound passengers from Germany last year.
The first flight was welcomed on the ground by Dr. Peter Tschentscher, First Mayor of Hamburg, along with other tourism leaders and dignitaries.
Qatar Airways Group CEO, Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, said: “Qatar Airways extends a warm welcome to Hamburg as the latest destination. Germany is a key market for the airline.”
Hamburg flights joins a global network of more than 170 cities offering connections from Doha to popular long-haul destinations for such as the Maldives, Singapore, Philippines, Bangkok and Cape Town.
