Qatar Airways scores sponsorship deal with Inter Milan
Flag carrier Qatar Airways has added to its growing portfolio of top tier sports partnerships.
It recently welcomed Serie A giants FC Inter Milan to its sports sponsorship roster.
Qatar Airways is now the Official Global Airline Partner of the club.
The multi-year agreement will incorporate branding, hospitality, and marketing rights, including customised travel offers for Inter fans.
The partnership also sees extended group-wide rights with Inter, which include Hamad International as the ‘Official Airport,’ Qatar Duty Free as the ‘Official Duty-Free’ and Qatar Airways Holidays as the ‘Official Fan Travel Partner’ in Qatar.
New Qatar Airways Group CEO, Engr. Badr Al Meer, said: “This partnership will help deepen our relationship with not only Milan, but all markets across Europe and Asia where Inter has a huge following.”
To mark the partnership, Qatar Airways Privilege Club will be offering Inter fans discounts of up to 12% on fares.
The agreement with Inter will also extend rights to Qatar Tourism.
The airline will also increase its visibility in Milan with Qatar Airways’ branded LED signage around Inter’s San Siro Stadium.
The airline currently operates three daily flights from Milan Malpensa and 18 weekly flights from Rome Fiumicino.
