Regent Seven Seas to refurbish three ships

Sunday, 21 Jan, 2016 0
Luxury line Regent Seven Seas Cruises is embarking on a fleet wide refurbishment program.

A major $125 million program will include all three existing ships to bring them up to the standard of its soon to be launched fourth vessel, Seven Seas Explorer.

Explorer, which the company touts it as ‘world’s most luxurious cruise ship,’ begins sailings in July.

It will start with the 490-guest Seven Seas Navigator which goes into dry dock in France in April.

The ship’s reception area and main restaurant Compass Rose will be redesigned and the ship will get a Coffee Connection coffee bar.

All suites will have new furnishings, artwork and plush new beds.

Following the upgrade, the Connoisseur Club smoking lounge will disappear and smoking will then be restricted to a designated area of the pool deck.

"We’re using the Explorer as an inspiration. Once this is complete, every single suite and public space will be touched," said Jason Montague, president and COO of Regent.

The Seven Seas Voyager will next to be upgraded in late 2016 followed by Seven Seas Mariner in the spring of 2017.
