Riviera Travel reveals largest-ever solo programme for 2026
Riviera Travel will offer its largest-ever programme of dedicated solo tour holidays in 2026.
The river cruise and escorted tour specialist has introduced five new itineraries to meet guest demand.
For river cruise, Riviera will offer 12 dedicated solo itineraries, up from 11 in 2025.
An eight-day ‘Medieval Germany for solo travellers’ option will be introduced, visiting Mainz, Würzburg, Rothenburg, Miltenberg, Wertheim, Bamberg and Nuremberg.
The sailing will depart in August 2026, with prices from £3249pp.
The 2026 long-haul escorted touring programme will consist of 14 solo itineraries, with four new departures:
11-day ‘Maritime Canada for solo travellers’, including a journey along the Cabot Trail; a drive through Cape Breton Highlands National Park; tours of colonial towns and the Fort Anne National Historic Site. Departing May to September, with prices from £4999pp.
13-day ‘Costa Rica for solo travellers’, visiting Tortuguero National Park; the area around the perfect cone of the Arenal Volcano; and Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge. Departing April to October, with prices from £5999pp.
14-day ‘Classic California for solo travellers’, visiting Yosemite National Park; Los Angeles, San Francisco and San Diego; and California’s Pacific Coastline. Departing April to October, with prices from £6299pp.
13-day ‘Classic Egypt, Cairo, Luxor & Nile cruise for solo travellers’, visiting the Pyramids of Giza and Sphinx; Egyptian Museum; temples of Karnak and Luxor; ‘Double Temple’ of Kom Ombo; sightseeing in the Valley of the Kings and Aswan. Departing April and September, with prices from £5199pp.

Riviera’s solo holidays feature a meet and greet at the UK departure point; a welcome dinner and drinks; an expert tour manager specialising in solo travel; and maximum group sizes of 25 people on escorted tours.
Additionally, Riviera is running a travel agent incentive giving agents £50 for all European 2026 river cruise bookings made until October 31, 2024.
Agents need to register their bookings on the Riviera agent portal, at www.rivieratravel.co.uk/agents.
