Royal Caribbean International has signed another three-way marketing partnership with the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) and Changi Airport Group to lure more fly-cruise passengers to the city state.
The goal of the multi-million dollar partnership is to attract 45,000 overseas fly-cruise guests from March to June this year on Ovation of the Seas and Voyager of the Seas.
That would generate an extra S$26 million in tourism spending.
"The potential for cruise in Asia is phenomenal. There’s a lot of upside in Asia and that’s why it is the fastest growing region for our brand, and also for the industry," said Sean Treacy, Royal caribben’s managing director for Asia Pacific.
It will be marketed throughout Asia as well as to mature markets in North America and Europe.
RCI says more than half of bookings for its Singapore sailings come from overseas.
"The announcement of Royal Caribbean’s longest deployment for the next three years is a reflection of how multi-sector collaborations like these are vital to developing the local and regional cruise industry. It is these partnerships that enable Royal Caribbean to bring bigger and more innovative ships to Singapore," Treacy added.
