Royal Caribbean revamps online agent training
A dedicated online agent training programme for the Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and Azamara Cruises brands has been revamped.
A new look has been introduced with a personalised introduction page, and new refresher modules.
The Cruising for Excellence online programme now features a personalised homepage highlighting the users’ training progress.
This allows agents to dip in and out of training without having to complete a module all in one sitting. Video messages ensure agents are up to date on their achievements, and receive help and advice at all stages.
The programme also includes videos from training workshops and seminars on board ships.
Agents can stay up to date with the latest training opportunities via the Cruising for Excellence Facebook, Myspace and Bebo pages or add their own experiences and selling expertise to the Cruising for Excellence knowledge sharing forum.
Training manager David Chidley said: “In terms of new ships and new opportunities, 2009 will be a jam packed year for cruising.
“Royal Caribbean International is introducing the hugely-hyped Oasis of the Seas, and the new Celebrity Equinox from Celebrity Cruises will launch in Southampton.
“Giving agents the right tools and resources to both stay on top of all the new developments, and sell confidently, is a huge factor in growing our sales via our travel partners.
“The revamped Cruising for Excellence online training programme is one area of investment, look out for more ship visit opportunities and more training events all coming in 2009.”
Since launch in April 2006, the online agent training programme has trained more than 11,000 agents in the UK and Ireland.
