Ryanair opens fourth Morocco base
Ryanair officially opened its newest base in Tangier.
This marks Ryanair’s fourth base in Morocco and it will base two aircraft there.
It represents an investment of $200m the airline says.
It will create 13 new routes connecting Tangier and 25 in total.
It adds up to eight new European cities and five new Moroccan destinations this summer.
Ryanair will also fly 11 Morocco domestic routes.
Ryanair says it will support over new 600 local jobs.
As a designated base, Tangier flight capacity grows this summer.
The airline expects to carry over 5 million passengers to, from, and now within Morocco.
Ryanair serves 12 cities in Morocco including Rabat, Marrakesh, Fez, Agadir, Tetouan, Essaouira, and Nador.
Ryanair CEO, Eddie Wilson said: “We are delighted to officially launch our fourth Morocco base for Tangier flights, which represents a $200 million investment.”
