Scott Dunn opening second US office
Luxury tour operator Scott Dunn is boosting its presence in the US.
Following a year of record sales in the US, Scott Dunn is opening a New York office.
It gives the company a bi-coastal operation, having opened in San Diego in 2016.
The New York office is set to open in August 2023.
It will be located in Bryant Park, Manhattan.
The New York office will be the East Coast hub for sales, marketing and business development.
It will open with team members relocating there from existing global offices in London, Singapore, and San Diego.
The tour operator then plans to rapidly scale up the team through local recruitment.
Northeast travel agents will be engaged for the first time to reach more guests on a larger scale.
The US expansion is the result of strong performance from the post-pandemic boom in travel.
Scott Dunn US began 2023 with a record-breaking January with a 97% compared to 2022.
Growth has continued with March 2023 seeing a further 10% increase from January 2023.
The tour operator was recently acquired by Flight Centre Travel Group in February 2023.
The operator aims to triple the size of the business development team, with a direct-to-consumer approach.
Scott Dunn’s CEO Sonia Davies said: “We are delighted to be opening in New York, building upon what has been a significant period of high growth for our US business.”
“Our growth plan is ambitious as we recognise the considerable opportunities in the US.”
Scott Dunn offers tailor-made trips to over 100 destinations.
