SeaWorld unveils 60th anniversary celebrations
SeaWorld is turning 60 this year, and is busy prepping for a year-long celebration of events.
SeaWorld parks are throwing a party and marking the occasion throughout the year with all-new themed rides and attractions, new shows, and limited-edition food and beverages.
Details will be announced in the coming weeks.
As part of its “So Much More to Sea” 60th anniversary campaign, SeaWorld is inviting guests to share their memories and milestones in the park and through digital channels.
The party officially gets started across the parks on March 21, which is 60 years to the day that SeaWorld opened its gates for the first time in 1964.
The anniversary kick-off party will continue through Sunday, March 24, and further anniversary celebrations are planned in the summer. Guests can share their favourite SeaWorld memories using #SeaWorld60.
“We’re inviting our guests to join us through our past and all that makes SeaWorld a special place today,” said Marc Swanson, CEO of SeaWorld Entertainment, Inc.
SeaWorld’s 60th anniversary celebration will introduce various new experiences:
All-New rides and attractions: SeaWorld will open new themed rides and attractions in each of its US parks in spring 2024, including “Penguin Trek” at SeaWorld Orlando.
New presentations & shows: New Cirque-style shows at SeaWorld Orlando and a live performance character show: Shamu and Crew – ‘Together Again’ at SeaWorld San Diego, will launch.
