Senior TSA boss charged with forgery
A senior Transportation Security Administration official has been arrested for forgery and suspended from her post.
Maxine McManaman, assistant federal security director of the TSA, was charged with forgery in a domestic matter and not related to her job.
She is accused of attempting to fraudulently sign over the deed of her mother’s home to herself and her co-defendant father.
Her mother suffers from dementia, and McManaman’s brother, Delroy Chambers Jr., was granted power of attorney when the mother became ill.
Father Delroy Chambers Sr was also arrested.
The offence took place in Port St. Lucie, Florida where McManaman is expected to be extradited to.
“Maxine McManaman and Delroy Chambers, Sr. were determined to have both falsified the quitclaim deed,” Port St. Lucie police said.
TSA is aware of McManaman’s arrest, and put her on leave for a ‘non-work related charge.’
“TSA holds its employees to the highest professional and ethical standards and has no tolerance for misconduct on or off-duty,” a TSA spokesperson said.
