Ski Operators’ sales to snowball with Travelink
Snowline/VIP take Windows-based system to support on-going sales growth
Luxury ski specialists Snowline and VIP are to harness Travelink’s Windows-based tour operator system following consistent year-on-year growth, the sister companies announced today.
The agreement, which follows a competitive three-way pitch, will see the Travelink system running both companies’ operations, from reservations to back-office administration at their London headquarters, which handles thousands of European chalet holiday bookings from travel agents and consumers each year.
According to the operators, a key factor behind the decision was Travelink’s ability to facilitate remote access to their resort offices in Val d’Isère, Courchevel, Méribel and Morzine. Travelink’s browser-based technology will enable the companies’ resort offices to access booking information in real time over the internet.
In addition, Snowline and VIP were impressed by the system’s reliability, which they saw as crucial to building on solid year-on-year growth.
The Travelink system delivers dramatically improved productivity through ease of use, is capable of harnessing new distribution channels and offers fully integrated web bookings, which is enabling hundreds of operators to sell on the web at a fraction of the cost of developing an individual internet presence.
Said Snowline and VIP’s managing director Andy Sturt: “We required a powerful and reliable system to underpin our UK sales & marketing efforts. Furthermore, by facilitating remote access from our resort offices – without the need for costly hardware – the system will significantly boost the efficiency of our European operations.”

Commented Travelink’s sales director Howard Frost: “The decision by Snowline and VIP is an endorsement for Travelink’s browser-based technology and confirms our position as a preferred system for growing businesses. At a time when cash is at a premium for all operators, Travelink offers a powerful and affordable solution that will grow alongside their business.”
