Spinning Globe VTRIP launches to help Travel Agents engage with Consumers
Tech. businesses in COVID-19 have had to evolve and embrace the changing needs of the travel market. VTRIP for consumers is such an evolution by travel tech developer Spinning Globe; building on the successful travel agent VFAM familiarisation trip platform. Customers unable to travel but eager to immerse in the experience of travel planning are now able to take curated journeys through itineraries prepared for them to try by travel agents, tour operators and tourist boards rich with images, description and video content. There is a degree of gamification as well, to enable the customer to engage in quizzes about the places and experiences they have discovered on a VTRIP.
Travel agent, tour operator and tourist board subscribers to the VTRIP platform can build an almost unlimited range of VTRIP itineraries for their customers to try in a branded environment bespoke to the provider. The VTRIP content management system allows for itinerary details, an array of images and video to be imported into each day of each VTRIP so that the customer is taken on a journey to explore the diversity of product offered by an agent, an operator or a destination.
Founder of Spinning Globe, Gary Jacobs, comments that "In these extremely challenging times for the travel industry, keeping customers inspired and engaged with our travel product offering is more difficult than ever. We feel VTRIP achieves an immersive experience taking customers on a journey to support planning and discovery for a real booking with their travel provider. Creativity combined with clever tech delivers a richer consumer experience, delivering greater opportunity for increased sales".
Pricing for subscription to the system, which is branded to the company and allows almost unlimited VTRIPS to be built, start at just £70 per month for a single branch travel agency with a minimum 12-month commitment. There are price plans for larger agencies, tour operators and destinations. Plans to enable content across the VTRIP and VFAM platforms are also available for destinations and B2B tour operators so that content can be made available for their agents and customers alike. VTRIP comes pre-loaded with 18 different destination trips already, which will be added to over time.
Charitable Travel, the unique social enterprise travel agencies, has already embraced the VTRIP technology. CEO Melissa Tilling commented that "Launching in the midst of the pandemic has reinforced the need for travel agents to adapt to offer new and interesting ways to show the product we have available to our customers and charity supporters". She added "Flat and less interactive web content simply does not engage the customer in the same way and does not take them on a journey from the comfort of their own homes as a precursor to a conversation about offering a great price and options for a real holiday".
Concluding, Melissa suggested "Closing one booking a month basically pays for the system, what is not to like". To try the Charitable Travel VTRIP click here: www.charitable.travel/vtrip. For further information on VTRIP please contact [email protected].
