Splash into summer at San Diego’s Campland
Campland on the Bay, San Diego’s favorite resort campground, is set to kick off a summer of outdoor family-friendly activities beginning Memorial Day weekend, May 27-30, 2022.
Featuring the return of the popular Campland Rocks live entertainment series and Giant Water Slide, Campland offers visitors and locals an affordably stay and play experience while enjoying resort-style amenities.
“With more than 50 years on Mission Bay, we’re honored to be the destination families return to year after year,” said Ahmed Ait-Lahcen, General Manager of Campland on the Bay.
“We welcome guests to visit for the day and enjoy our public beach and activity rentals, or stay the night to experience our full array of activities.”
Campland’s evolving Activities & Events calendar includes kid-favorites like arts and crafts, bubble soccer, dodgeball, and Capture the Flag. During a midweek getaway join Campland’s complimentary yoga classes held on the Central Park lawn Mondays and Thursdays. Make a splash with a ride on the Giant Water Slide. The 27-foot inflatable is open daily for the holiday weekend and on select days throughout the summer.
Add environmental education to your summer itinerary and stop by Campland’s new Tree Map installation highlighting 36 varieties of more than 1,160 mature trees on property that were planted in the early 1970’s. Coming May 2022, new interpretive signs will be installed throughout the grounds to inform the public and campers about a variety of environmental topics
Campland Rocks returns Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 7pm for the holiday weekend inviting campers to the Central Park lawn to enjoy live performances by SoCal’s top tribute bands. The live performance series continues every Friday and Saturday evening throughout the summer.
Just steps from the live entertainment, stop by the resort’s Cantina restaurant serving up family favorites including pizza, tacos, burgers and fresh salads. Adult beverages are also available, including craft cocktails, beer and wine.
