Summer X Games coming back to SoCal
The Summer X Games are coming back to Southern California.
Events take place in San Diego and Ventura this July.
X Games is inviting fans back to the live action after a three-year gap.
X Games California 2023 brings back Skateboard, BMX, and Moto X competitions in a large event format.
“I am looking forward to seeing X Games return to a big fan experience and to celebrate skateboarding like never before,” said 10-time X Games gold medalist Tony Hawk.
It comprises a fan festival and music performances.
Ventura County Fairgrounds and Event Center will serve as the last stop of the tour from Friday 21 July – Sunday 23 July 23 2023.
“It is an honor to be selected to host this prestigious international competition,” Ventura Mayor Joe Schroeder said.
X Games is partnering with Visit California and Amtrak Pacific Surfliner for a summer campaign promote each of the X Games events.
The Pacific Surfliner is the second busiest Amtrak route in the country and one of the most scenic train routes in America.
” California has been the epicenter of action sports. It’s only fitting that the X Games make their way back here,” said Visit California CEO Caroline Beteta. ”
X Games California officially kicks off in San Diego on Sunday 16 July, with Real Street and Real BMX Best Trick contests.
Fans can now join the waitlist to get early access to tickets.
Tickets go on public sale on 10 May.
The Gold Medal events will air live on ABC and ESPN networks and streamed online
