Tell us what you think of us, says ABTA

Saturday, 10 Aug, 2012 0

ABTA is urging agents and operators to tell them what they think of the association in its latest member survey.

The regular online survey is designed to give members the chance to give ABTA feedback and to tell it what it’s doing right and where it could improve.

The appeal comes after several high profile members quit the association or questioned its usefulness.

Mark Warner quit last July and Tropical Sky terminated its membership in June of this year, saying ABTA was no longer relevant or good value for money (see previous story).

A few weeks later, Paul Evans, CEO of lowcosttravelgroup.com, spoke out saying the association had become "confused".

ABTA head of financial protection John de Vial jumped to its defence, saying the association is so much more than financial protection.

Chief executive Mark Tanzer said the range of services that ABTA provides is intended to support members in "building healthy, thriving businesses" as well as ensuring that customers "remain confident in their travel experience".

"The survey should take no more than 20 minutes to complete, so please do take the time to participate and give us your views," he said.
