TelMe Launches Farebase Back Office To Help Small and Medium Sized Agents Comply with ATOL Regulations
TelMe Farebase announces the launch of Farebase Back Office. A system that will enable even the smallest travel company to comply with the latest ATOL directives, by charging just £1 per invoice, with no minimum contract, a ‘pay as you go’ charging system, and set up fees of just £50, which are credited against the first 50 invoices.
Users will need to subscribe to the Farebase portal, after which there is no hardware to purchase, no software licences, just a simple download and a password. The only commitment is a requirement of at least £20 per month or 20 invoices. As an additional incentive all invoices created from Farebase Portal bookings will be free of charge, whilst still counting toward the 20 invoice minimum.
Farebase back office is built on TelMe’s Discovery platform, which has big name clients such as ATP International, Eton Travel and Expotel. “This is a full back office system for a typical Farebase user” said Lisa Stone, Discovery’s General Manager “Obviously we have made a number of changes to suit this particular market, but there has been absolutely no reduction in either the quality or the reliability you would expect from a full Discovery system”.
Peter Muller, Managing Director of TelMe Farebase said, “This is one of the most exciting developments we have this year. We have carefully analysed the market place and picked the best parts of our competitors offers and put them all together – creating the best value back office system in the country. In this era of low cost airlines and low cost cruises isn’t it about time we had low cost technology? We have given Farebase subscribers a free booking facility for sometime now, if they choose, they can now get free invoicing too.”
Farebase was founded in the late 1980’s as the first Travel Industry databases to list every flight consolidation deal in one place. Since then Farebase has become one of the leading technology brands in the sector, merging with TelMe Online in 1998 to form TelMe Farebase which combines the Farebase nett fare deals with TelMe internet booking skills.
