Thomas Cook brings ‘Nintendo Zones’ to resort hotels
Fifteen family hotels across the Mediterranean will feature branded Nintendo Zones as part of a three-year partnership with Thomas Cook.
Nintendo DS consoles will also be trialled on selected flights of over four hours duration during school holidays. Some Thomas Cook stores with dedicated children’s areas will also offer access to Nintendo games.
The family-friendly Nintendo Zones will be available from Easter featuring Nintendo GameCube, Nintendo DS and Game Boy Advance hardware plus latest games in dedicated areas of the selected hotels.
Holidaymakers will also be able to win Nintendo prizes each week at the 15 properties.
Thomas Cook head of product Robbie Orr said: “We are constantly looking at how we can improve the holidays that we offer to families. Nintendo games are a firm favourite with children and teens alike, and we are really excited about the new partnership.”
Nintendo UK marketing director Dawn Paine said: “Thomas Cook and Nintendo are both family-friendly brands that compliment each other well. We’re delighted to be joining forces with Thomas Cook to offer holiday makers across the Med great entertainment from the moment they board their flight.”
