Thomas Cook issues co-branded NCL brochure

A co-branded Hawaii brochure has been produced by Thomas Cook and Norwegian Cruise Line.

The programme covers cruise and stay options until 2008 based on the cruise line’s five ships based in Hawaii.

Prices start at £1,399 for seven nights’ cruising and an overnight stay in Hawaii. Bookings made before August 30 will qualify for $300 on-board credit per cabin.

Thomas Cook head of cruising Jenny Ellis said: “Over the past few years Hawaii has rapidly become a very popular destination as holidaymakers look for new and exciting places to visit. NCL dominates the Hawaiian cruising market and as such we are delighted to be able to work with them to make choosing and arranging a holiday to these beautiful islands easier than ever before.”

Meanwhile, NCL claims to have become the first cruise line to offer mobile phone service across all 15 ships in its fleet, including Orient Lines.

Leading the way in shipboard technology, NCL was the first cruise line to offer mobile phone services at sea when it introduced the new technology on Norwegian Sun more than two years ago.

The new mobile phone service combines satellite and wireless technology, enabling passengers to make and receive calls on their mobile phones while in international waters. Passengers will be billed by the mobile service operator to whom they subscribe at roaming rates, just as if they were roaming on land instead of at sea.

NCL UK general manager Francis Riley said: “While we recognise that some guests travelling with us want to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, others need to stay in touch with loved ones or business associates, and following in the NCL tradition we offer them the choice. Mobile phone, internet capabilities and WiFi services ensure that our guests can stay connected if they want.”
