Thomson to decorate shop windows with customers’ holiday snaps
Thomson will use customers’ holiday snaps to create large mosaic banners in its shop windows.
It has launched a Facebook campaign asking customers to post their favourite photos.
The best from each region will then be used to create a large photo mosaic banner in local Thomson shop windows at Christmas and the New Year.
For now, Thomson has launched its own 1.4m wide banners, made up of 780 individual photos, chosen from its own image library
"Our photo mosaic banners are already making an impact on the high street, and they’ll be even more of a talking point once local people are featured," said marketing director Jeremy Ellis.
"We’ve wanted to make our shop windows more localised for a long time, and when we came up with this concept, we knew straight away that it would work really well to engage both our retail customers and Facebook fans.
The Facebook campaign runs until November 4, with five Sensatori holidays on offer during the promotion.
