Tourist killed at Thailand zipline park
A zipline tourist attraction has been closed in Northern Thailand after an accident killed a Chinese tourist.
It happened at Jungle Flight Chiangmai as the couple were walking on a suspended bridge.
A tree fell onto the bridge which threw them about 50 feet to the ground
Jing Chen, 44, died and her husband Liu Yang, 46, suffered broken bones, authorities said.
It is thought the tree roots and soil were weakened by recent heavy rains.
Local officials closed the facility while an inspection is completed, such as all equipment and whether all safety measures were followed.
Forestry department officials said other local zipline attractions will be inspected.
