TOWARD Europe members to brainstorm cost savings
TravelMole Exclusive: ‘Improving Processes, Reducing Costs’ is the title of the first agm and members conference organised by industry organisation TOWARD Europe.
The event next week in London will bring together a panel of experts to discuss the headline topic followed by a debate.
It will be the first chance for the full membership to meet following the creation of two new working groups – ’Business and Cost Analysis Group’; from which the conference draws its theme; and ‘Inventory and Content Group’.
TOWARD Europe members include Accor, Amadeus, Avis, BA Holidays, Cosmos, Europcar, Eurostar, Galileo, Gold Medal Travel, Hertz, Sabre, Travel 2 and Worldspan. It was created to attempt to maximize the profitability of travel companies by improving distribution methods.
Bill Barnes (Amadeus), of TOWARD Europe’s management committee, said: “We will tackle two issues of most importance to travel companies in today’s market – finding ways to improve business processes in the industry, and how areas of cost in distribution can be reduced or removed altogether.”
The conference is to be held on 24 June at the Kenilworth Hotel.
