TQ3 TRAVEL SOLUTIONS GIVES TRAVELLERS A ‘SAFETYNET’
26 October 2005, London, UK: TQ3 Travel Solutions launched TQ3 SafetyNet – an innovative security technology package designed to protect travellers 24/7/365 – at this year’s ACTE Global Conference, London.
SafetyNet – powered by Travel Care Package – is an end-to-end risk management solution which uses advanced ‘track and trace’ technology to enable clients to warn, protect, if necessary, find and bring back travellers from areas of risk. SafetyNet adds a new product to TQ3’s comprehensive Security and Emergency Solutions suite.
Utilising multiple sources, TQ3 provides timely, factual destination information that is then linked to individual traveller itineraries to give holistic support to clients. TQ3 monitors risk across the globe 24-hours a day; seven days a week and offers specially trained crisis management consultants should customers find themselves in a crisis situation.
SafetyNet’s unique database enables Travel Managers and Security Managers simultaneous access to up-to-the-minute travel and security information and in the event of a crisis; they can immediately execute a plan to get travellers out of a high-risk area quickly. Prior to this innovation, Travel Managers and Security Managers were dependent on each others’ data sources and reports before they could take action.
Designed to suit all requirements, SafetyNet is available in two packages: SafetyNet Manage and SafetyNet Track. SafetyNet Manage sends travellers a customised SMS or email alert to inform them of any risk in an area they are travelling in, or are scheduled to travel to. Travellers call TQ3’s 24-hour Emergency Assist Service Centre to register their whereabouts and their safety status. The notification will be re-sent at intermittent periods until the traveller has made contact. In addition, clients can monitor the response status of their travellers online. To ensure the targeting of only those travellers deemed ‘at risk’, a client can segment its travellers and select notice activation according to country or category classification, for example, contact all travellers in Asia for medical risk only.
SafetyNet Track also sends a standard alert email or SMS to travellers. As with SafetyNet Manage, travellers have to respond by calling Emergency Assist. The 24-hour Service Centre can accommodate a wide range of travel requests such as booking a flight at short notice, reserving a last minute hotel room, searching for medical assistance, making an insurance enquiry or locating a nearby shelter.
Key TQ3 client DaimlerChrysler tested the SafetyNet product prior to launch. Bernd Burkhardt, Head of Travel Management for DaimlerChrysler said: “We were pleased to be asked by TQ3 to pilot SafetyNet. We have around 35,000 travellers in our organisation so it is imperative we know exactly where our people who are travelling are at any one time. SafetyNet is a holistic solution that allows us to provide first class support to our staff, wherever they are.”
Toby Joseph, Global COO, TQ3 Travel Solutions added: “We are committed to providing our clients with state-of-the-art solutions to enable them to protect their travellers. The addition of SafetyNet to our Security and Emergency Solutions portfolio further enhances our quality customer service. Our clients can take comfort from the fact that we can communicate with, report on and assist their travellers wherever they are at any time.”
