Tuesday, 26 Mar, 2024 0

The number of candidates placed in new travel jobs was up to its highest level in six months, according to data from C&M Travel Recruitment.

February 2024 saw a 25% monthly increase in new appointments, to reach the best total since August 2023.

However, the monthly total was down by 39% from last February.

It was also a strong month for candidates, with February 2024 recording the second highest February total in the past seven years.

However, it  was a less impressive month for new travel job vacancies which fell by 29% from January and by 33% compared to last February.

Barbara Kolosinska, MD at C&M Travel Recruitment, said: “With job placements rising to their highest level in half a year, February was undoubtedly a positive month. We also saw a strong number of candidates beginning their search for a new travel job.

“But for this momentum to continue, we need to see consistent increases in the number of new travel jobs being made available.”
