Travel PR firm Lotus expands to Asia
UK headquartered travel consultancy LOTUS is expanding to Asia with its second overseas office.
Aiming to tap into the huge growth in tourism in the Asia-Pacific region, LOTUS Asia will work with destinations and tourism organisations to adapt their tourism strategies.
"LOTUS Asia was part of our long-term growth strategy but increased revenues and client demand mean we are in a position to launch this business immediately," said Sarah Johnson, founder & CEO of LOTUS.
"We are now in a position to advise European clients how and where to promote their tourism product to the Asia travelling public whilst providing an Asian and European centric offering for clients looking for representation in both regions."
The Chinese outbound market is the key market driver but other regions including Southeast Asia are show impressive growth.
The roll out of LOTUS Asia follows the 2016 launch of LOTUS LATAM, which serves the Latin American and Spanish speaking markets.
The LOTUS client base includes national and regional tourist boards, food and drink brands, global hotel chains, attractions and transport companies.
In 2018, W Communications took a majority stakes in LOTUS and the two agencies have cooperated to gain new clients in the tour operating, hotel, DMO and cruise sectors.
"The launch of LOTUS Asia means tourism businesses in Asia will benefit from regional understanding, best in class category insight and travel business intelligence," said Warren Johnson, founder & CEO of W Communications.
