TravelMole announces new partnership

Friday, 29 Nov, 2005 0

TravelMole Australia / New Zealand is excited to announce yet another partnership with a leading player in the travel and tourism industry. Once again we are emabarking on a passage intended to differentiate  ourselves from the pack.

Training People Worldwide is a consultancy specialising in defining and satisfying the unique training needs of the travel and tourism industry.

The principals of Training People Worldwide are Jill Doctor and Sue Langley.  They both have extensive experience within the retail, wholesale, sales and inbound areas of travel in UK, Europe and Australia.

Their training experience encompasses all facets of learning and development from needs analysis through development of programmes to delivery, evaluation and implementation of coaching if required.

“We have trained all levels from new joiners to senior managers.” says co-founder Jill Doctor.

“Because we understand the challenges of selling travel, we know that generic training modules often don’t meet the needs of our industry.  We also know that a training module may not equally meet the needs of the corporate city agency as well as the retail country agent.  So our strategy is to create unique training programmes based on the specific needs of the organisation.  And our strategy works.”

Having worked in retail travel for several years, Jill then moved into training and was responsible for all training for Thomas Cook in South-western England.  In Australia, Jill has worked with a variety of travel organisations including Traveland, where, in her role as trainer, she was part of the team that developed a range of training programs for the network.

In addition to the travel industry, she has also trained a wide variety of organisations in customer service and time and workload management as well as teaching Certificate 3, 4 and Diploma students studying Travel and Tourism.

Her partner in training is Sue Langley. Her management expertise and development techniques saw one organisation double profits two years running in her first two years as manager.  She won the inaugural Australian Tourism Commission Best New Initiative Award for an innovative marketing idea that had an average 68% conversion rate.

With an impressive list of clients including Abercrombie and Kent, Clearview Solutions, Concorde Travel Group, Jetset Travelworld Group, Leading Initiatives Worldwide, Powerhouse Museum, New Zealand Holidays among others, Jill and Sue bring a wealth of experience and outsanding qualifications to the training arena.

TravelMole and Training People Worldwide will bring to your weekly news a range of training tips, best practice ideas and useful advice designed to assist and inform you and your staff.
